Tired of gaining weight when you are on break for the holidays? Well in this article, I would like to discuss how to stay healthy on your holidays. The first tip I can offer is to be active. Don’t just sit on your bed and watch every show you missed since your last break. If you want to watch a show, then try to spend that same amount of time outside running or at the gym. The easiest way to get fat is to Netflix and snack. Needless to say, all you do in Netflix and snack is watch shows and eat snacks while you at it. This a common practice amongst many young adults and teenagers, so try to counteract this binge watching by going outside and being active. Another common problem that leads to gaining weight over breaks is overeating or not eating healthy.
When you are on break, invitations for lunch and dinner come all the time. I’m not saying don’t go to these meals, I’m just suggesting that you order a healthy meal for yourself when you go out. If you normally get two tacos, try to suffice off one taco over your break. This is because, normally, you would only eat out once a week but in your break time, you are eating out at least 3 to 5 times a day. Another tip to stay fit during your break is to wake up early. Many people like to slumber in till noon on their breaks so they can catch up on their sleep they missed throughout the year. This is a bad practice and habit because laziness will lead you to becoming less active, hence less healthy. If you want to make up for your sleep you missed, try to sleep early at night, like around 9 or 10. This way you can sleep for a long time while waking up early, around 9. In short, if you want to stay healthy this break, try to be active, eat healthy, and wake up early.
